INCIDENTS DURING RACE:
On Leg 1 the boat beat MR Damage to the finish line as the start boat’s anchor was well and truly dug in so it took a long time to get the anchor unattached from the bottom then had the same trouble with the buoy it also was stuck fast.
Leg 2 had the finish line a little further out to sea at Horseshoe then normal as the finish boat wanted to do some fishing.
Leg 3 the fleet had a ship interfere with there tactics heading to the North Cardinal mark with two boats Zoe and The BOAT having to tack away from the favoured course side.
NAME OF RACE AND SERIES: MAJOR OFFSHORE (2) – Lyons Shaw Memorial, AUTUMN SERIES
DESCRIPTION OF COURSE: Leg 1 was a reach to Herald Island with around 15 Knots of breeze with THE BOAT and ZOE holding there spinnakers most of the way. Leg 2 was for the first half a one leg beat to the finish with around 10 knots of wind then at around half way there the breeze shifted 40 degrees to make the breeze come from were the fleet wanted to go. Leg 3 a short beat upwind of 2 miles then a tight reach to the finish in Townsville with around 10-14 KTS of wind.

COMMENT FROM WINNER: All the other boats seamed to have some of there crew suffering from seasickness or was it a little too much consumption of a beverage, with crews trying to blame the food for there fuzziness.
COMMENT ON WEATHER CONDITIONS: A pleasant strength and direction of 8 to 15 knots from the easterly direction.
