The Townsville Cruising Yacht Club was established in approximately 1967. Since the early 80’s the Townsville Cruising Yacht Club has been operating from the Townsville Motor Boat Club. Since 1999 the TCYC has been incorporated into the TMBC and collectively we are known as the Townsville Motor Boat and Yacht Club. The goal and purpose of the club is to promote and encourage yachting on a competitive and social basis. |
Our Major yearly event is the Townsville to Port Hinchinbrook Blue Water Classic held at Easter time. We also run a Port Hinchinbrook Regatta during our stay over the Saturday/Sunday/Monday. The Blue water Classic is proudly sponsored by the Port Hinchinbrook Resort. |
